kamera kortti on "kuorrutettu" läpinäkyvällä embossausjauheella.
lisäilin sitä useamman kerroksen, kunnes olin tyytyväinen lopputulokseen.
samaa tekniikkaa käytin myös
filmi decon kuvassa.
i used transparent embossing powder to create a glazed kind of efffect for the camera card. i kept adding the powder and reheating it, until it lookedshony and pretty. i used the same technique in my film deco picture.

edward scissorhands/nighmare before x-mas
omistan lähestulkoon kaikki tim burtonin ohjaamat elokuvat. olen samaa mieltä sarin
kanssa, että jouluun kuuluu nightmare before christmas animaatio.
edward korttiin sain mielestäni hyvin leffan tunnelman.
ive been admiring tim burton's work for a very long time and i come close to havingnearly all of his films on dvds. i tend to watch nightmare before christmas every year before,
or during x-mas holidays. edward is another x-massy film. i believe i captured the spirit
of the film quite well in that card.
marilyn/yellow submarine
en ole mitenkään fanaattinen vanhojen elokuvien suhteen, ne tuntuvat liian "kesyiltä"
minusta... mutta pidän vintage tyylistä kovin paljon ja siksi tein kolme atc:tä vanhojen aikojen näyttelijöistä. yellow submarine on yksi kaikkien aikojen suosikkileffoistani.
olenhan sentään beatles fani. taustalla käytin tuollaista erikoista kuitupaperia, eli
en ole itse värjännyt taustaa. submarinen tulostin ja leikkasin kahtia, taaskin
elokuvan hengessä. jos olette nähneet leffan, niin tiedätte mistä puhun... ehkä.
im not a big fan of old romantic films, because theyre a bit too "tame" for me.
(of course there are a few acceptions, like breakfast at tiffanys) i seem to need a
bit more edge and dark humour to the films i watch. however i love the vintage
style and so i made three cards with pictures of the famous old movie stars.
yellow submarine is one of my fave films of all times, after all, i am a beatles fan.
i used some kind of fiber paper as the background, to create the "sea of green".
then i printer out the submarine picture and cut it in half, to make the
card more like the movie, amuzing and surreal. if youve seen the film, you know
what im talking about..or not..

valokuvani eivät nyt oikein välitä korttien komeutta, mutta
nämä todella ovat upeat, varsinkin näitten zettiology leimasimien kanssa...
taas uusi idea sarilta tuon pohjan tekemiseen sekä leimasinkuvan värittämiseen.
my photos arent really flattering for these cards, but believe me these are gorgeous,
especially with the zettiology stamps.. yet another great idea from sari in
the way she did that background and coloured the stamped picture.

piti kurkkia nimiä korttien takaa, kun en ole tutustunut vielä näihin elokuviin.
eivät voi olla huonoja leffoja, kerta kortitkin ovat näin hienot.
i had to peek behind the cards to check the names of the films.
they cant be bad films, since the cards are this awesome. ;)
being john malkovich/somewhere in time
mahtava leffa, mahtava korttikin. pitääpä katsoa se joskus uudestaan.
tuo toinen, "somewhere in time" ei ole niin tuttu mulle. mutta kortti on oikein kaunis,
ja siitä tuleekin mieleen että haluaisin lisää kelloleimasimia.
great film, great card. i should watch it again sometime.
that other film "somewhere in time" isnt so familiar to me. but the card if beautiful
and it makes me want to get some more rubber stamps with clock images.
the wrong trousers/forrest gump
kaikki wallace ja gromitit nähty sekä muut näitten ohjaajien animaatiot.
<3 söpö kortti ja taustasta tulee mieleen wallace ja gromitin talon tapetit.
forrest gumpin kävin katsomassa silloin kun se tuli leffateattereihin. olin silloin
pikkuteini ja tykkäsin kovasti leffasta ja etenkin sen musiikista. tuo karkkileimasin
on vilahtanut muissakin sarin jutuissa. se on aika makee :D
seen all the wallace and gromit films and other animations by these film directors.
<3 thats a cute card and the background reminds me of the wallpaper in wallace
and gromit's house. i went to see forrest gump in cinema when i was a little teeny.
i loved it and especially the soundtrack to it. ive seen that candy stamp in many crafty
things that sari has made. its pretty sweet :D
apollo 13/the matrix
apollo kortti kimaltelee nätisti. valitettavasti kamerani ei tykännyt valaistuksesta taaskaan..
matrixin tunnistin heti katsomatta kortin tietoja, vaikka olen nähnyt siitä vain ekan
osan ja vain yhden kerran.
apollo card is sparkling very nicely, even though my camera wasnt pleased with the
little light it got for picture taking today. when i saw the matrix card i knew what it was right away,
without looking behind the card. somehow it looked very obvious even though i havent
really seen matrix but once.
vaihdettiin sarin kanssa vielä kahdet askit, joista juttua ja kuvia myöhemmin.
sain vielä sarilta pienen kasan kaikenlaisia palapelien sun muitten osia, joista voi
vaikka askarrella jotain. mulla on jo jotain mielessä, katsotaan jääkö aikaa projekteille.
sari and i also swapped two altered matchboxes, pictures of which i will post later on.
she also sent me a bunch of jigsaw puzzle pieces and other little things like that for
altering. i already have something in mind, but well see if ill have enough time for that
project.
